Public Relations

I gained five years of public relations experience working with the Tampa Bay Lightning. During those seasons, I wrote and edited press releases, prospect profiles, and gameday materials.

Press Releases

Each home game, the Lightning Foundation and the Lightning Community Heroes program donate $50,000 to a Community Hero that has left their philanthropic mark in the Tampa Bay area. During the 2015-2016 season, I was responsible for writing a press release that identified and showcased the community hero for all 41 Lightning regular season home games.

Prospect Profiles

I was responsible for writing a Prospect of the Week column for tampabaylightning.com. This experience allowed me to enhance my reporting skills by interviewing head coaches from other professional sports teams such as the Syracuse Crunch and Canadian junior league clubs.

Editing

Along with the writing duties above, I also edited gameday information before puck drop. Attached below is a line chart which features the projected starting lineups for the Lightning and their upcoming opponent.
